Waiting for Richard by Carol Ann Kauffman

Waiting for Richard
by Carol Ann Kauffman

Retired insurance office manager Skye McKenna launches a new career as a children's author. On a book tour in Australia, she finds adventure and romance with a reclusive elephant-loving veterinarian.
This is rather long, short story in the TIME AFTER TIME series, which follows a pair of quintessential lovers, Richard and Nicole, through their lives together, at different times, in different places, with different names and faces. This follows the alternate theory that the relationships we forge in this lifetime, both good and bad, are continued in the future and rooted in the past. Those people who have had a profound effect on us in this life will find us in the future.

It was such a pleasure to read a romance featuring mature characters. The time after time aspect of this story added an interesting twist. Skye and Richard were a fun couple I couldn't help but route for. The ending left me smiling.

People in our lives come and go. This novella is about those who leave an imprint on our soul and never really leave us. One woman's quest to find a mysterious man in her dreams (and her heart) leads her on adventures near and far, taking us with her on the journey to find her place in the present...and the past. Part of the "Time After Time" series from author Carol Ann Kauffman. You'll want to read all of them following this.

Amazing! This novella fits perfectly in the world of Time After Time! It's got twist and turns in it's 65 pages! I loved the setting, as it really reminded my of places I've lived. This book was a quick read, but a very good one as well. The characters were interesting, and the plot kept me turning the pages just like all the other Time After Time novels! I loved them all, and don't wanna see the series end!
